BIO/RESUME I am from the San Francisco-Bay Area, and received a B.A. in Sociology from U.C. Berkeley. After college, I sought experience in the industry, taking internships and jobs which gave me hands-on work as a script reader, PA, camera assistant, and coordinator.
In 2001, I enrolled in the USC School of Cinema-TV, eventually earning a M.F.A. in Film/TV Production. My stay at USC was very fulfilling, and looking back, I value two things the most. First, was having a group of peers to collaborate with and share in the challenges of filmmaking. Second, was having time to reflect upon, and then to define my intent as someone entering the world of cinema, television, and media arts.
Now, as a writer and director, my goal is to seek out great stories of human relationships, and to present the truthful expression of those relationships to the audience. I believe that when Hollywood commits to successfully negotiating the tenuous balance between art and commerce, we can create films that both entertain and enlighten . . .
